Rita Mulcahy's PMP Exam Prep, 6th Edition is Available on Amazon Now

Rita Mulcahy's PMP Exam Prep, Sixth Edition (for PMBOK Guide 4th Ed), is now available on Amazon and at a hefty discount of 37%. PM Fastrack and Flashcards are also available at decent discount. All three items are temporarily out of stock, but you can place your order and lock the price now.

UPDATE (June 18, 2009): The discount on the book is gone just one day after the launch. The price is back to $99.00. The Simulator and Flashcards still carry the discount.

UPDATE (June 29, 2009): The Simulator and Flashcards are mysteriously "unavailable" now. Earlier, they were available for pre-order but not at this time. We gotta wait :(

UPDATE (July 02, 2009): Thankfully, the discount on the book is back. It's now available for $77. Much better than paying $99 + $10 S&H at RMCProject.

May I know whether there's much difference between PMBOK3 and PMBOK4?

I got Rita book 5th Edn and Software V5, but no idea whether I can still use them... or I MUST upgrade to 6th Edn?

btw, I will take my exam after 1st Jul.

Thanks so much for your advise.

  4. Hi Renren,

I'm glad you found the blog useful. Thanks for your feedback.

You have an interesting question. There are some difference between PMBOK Guide 3rd and 4th edition, and they are important enough for you to know in order to pass the exam.

Since you already have Rita's material for the 5th edition, you can probably live with it provided you have "other" material for PMBOK Guide 4th ed.

    By "other" material I mean:

    1. PMBOK Guide 4th ed itself. You must read it thoroughly 2-3 times and then relate to Rita's book and see which sections of Rita's book are outdated and take note of those differences.

    2. Since you have Rita's book, you can probably invest in some other author's book for PMBOK 4th edition. This way, you can get the best of both worlds.

    Hope it helps.

    Good luck.
